Rooted Nutrition
Sara Jones, M.A., Registered Dietitian
Hi, I'm Sara! I'm a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, and women's (FAB) hormone-related nutrition care, including PCOS. Rooted in Health at Every Size® (HAES®), I offer inclusive, trauma-informed and ED-informed care. I provide multiple payment options to stay grounded in economic justice.
YES! I take insurance. Did you know insurance usually covers dietitian visits at 100%? We love free things. Let me check your benefits!

Areas of Expertise
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS)
Living with PMOS (formerly PCOS) can feel overwhelming, especially when you're receiving conflicting nutrition advice. PCOS can affect energy levels, appetite, blood sugar regulation, menstrual cycles, and your relationship with food and body. Together, we'll focus on sustainable nutrition strategies that support your health without restrictive diets, food rules, or shame. My approach emphasizes nourishment, symptom management, and helping you build trust in your body while honoring your individual goals and needs.
Fertility & Preconception Nutrition
Nutrition plays an important role in supporting reproductive health, but fertility challenges are never as simple as eating the "right" foods. Whether you're trying to conceive, preparing for pregnancy, navigating fertility treatments, or managing conditions that impact fertility, I provide evidence-based guidance tailored to your unique situation. We'll focus on building nourishing habits, reducing stress around food, and supporting your overall well-being throughout your fertility journey.
Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating
Recovery is about more than food—it's about reclaiming your life from thoughts, rules, and fears that have taken up too much space. I support individuals struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED, chronic dieting, and disordered eating patterns. Using a compassionate, weight-inclusive approach, we'll work together to rebuild trust with food, reconnect with body cues, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and create a relationship with eating that feels flexible, peaceful, and sustainable.
