My Approach to Nutrition

Hi, I’m Sara, a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders and women's hormonal health. I believe in creating a safe, inclusive space where all individuals feel respected and supported, regardless of size, shape, gender identity, race, or background.

My work is rooted in the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES), focusing on fostering self-compassion, body acceptance, and sustainable, joyful relationships with food. I take a collaborative, evidence-based approach to care, tailoring my support to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll work toward reconnecting with your body’s innate wisdom and building a life that prioritizes your well-being. I’d be honored to join you on your journey.

I believe in accessible care.

I know that accessing care can sometimes be challenging, which is why I offer sliding scale pricing. This model reflects my commitment to accessibility, fairness, and meeting each person where they are. It ensures that financial circumstances aren’t a barrier to receiving the support you deserve.

I use the Green Bottle Sliding Scale Method, an economic justice model that recognizes the diversity of financial experiences. This approach allows clients to choose a payment tier that reflects their current financial capacity, fostering accessibility while supporting the sustainability of our services.

Justice-Centered,
Inclusive Nutrition Care

Healthcare is not neutral, and nutrition care shouldn’t reinforce systems that harm.

My practice is rooted in justice-centered, weight-inclusive, trauma-informed nutrition care. I recognize that health is shaped by systemic inequities, including weight stigma, racism, ableism, gender discrimination, and economic barriers. These forces directly affect who has access to care, who is believed, and whose bodies are medicalized or dismissed.

I provide an inclusive, affirming space for people of all body sizes, identities, and backgrounds. This includes LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC communities, neurodivergent clients, and others who have been marginalized or harmed within traditional healthcare systems.

Justice in healthcare means dignity, access, and care that honors the whole person.
